Since March 2020, I have stretched beyond my comfort zone, as we all have, to stay engaged and hopeful while at home in pandemic lock-down with my family.
For me, that has meant trying new knit designs and projects. I have made fast friends with lighter weight and cotton yarn, and created three different Boho-look summer tees. I have knit lace wraps in a variety of colours and gifted them to friends and family.
My mom and knitting mentor passed away in April, and since that time, finding joy in knitting has taken on even more importance to me.
Cast on, make corrections when needed, and continue to create.
Finding joy and gratitude in the moments we are given, even when our days are scary, frustrating, and bleak, is what my mama taught me...just like she taught me to knit.
