Q: What are the products made of?

A: Our products are made of sustainably sourced materials. We've included specifics on each product page, but here's a quick overview: 

  • Our products are generally made from wool-blended yarn (80% acrylic and 20% wool)
  • Our 100% recycled wool products are made from 100% Peruvian wool yarn crafted using excess fibres that would otherwise be lost to landfill - turning ‘trash to treasure’
  • Our luxury products are made from 100% South American sheep wool that is 100% natural, 100% renewable and totally biodegradable, too. 
  • Our "pompoms" are all faux fur and generally sourced from other Canadian makers.

Q: Where are the products made and who makes them?

A: All of our knitting is done in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, by me, Camille. I learned from my mama and I am trying to teach my daughters - knitting is a tradition that has been passed down for generations. 

Q: How do I care for my FuzzyCakes product? 

A: I recommend spot cleaning with cold water and a light laundry soap (or even dish soap like Dawn, will work).  If you've really made a mess of it, then remove the pompom and hand wash (or machine wash using the delicate cycle) in cold water.  Squeeze the water and soap out gently, reshape, and lay flat to dry. 

DO NOT dry in the dryer...it will tear the wool fibres and your FuzzyCakes will be a hotter mess than before you cleaned it.


Q: I thought I would love this beanie, but I don't and I need to return my order - what do I do?

A: We do accept returns, but there are some requirements. You may return unworn, unaltered items purchased FuzzyCakes Knitwear for a full refund within 30 days of purchase.

To initiate a return please contact us by email. We will provide you with a return label. 

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method.

Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. Please allow 10-14 business days for a items to be received, processed, and refunded.

Q: I love this beanie, but this colour is not my friend. Can I exchange it for another?

A: The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted and you have been refunded, then make a separate purchase for the new item.

Q. I really like your ready-to-ship items but do you take custom orders?

A. I am always excited to hear your ideas and would be happy to discuss whether your idea is something that I can help you to create.  Please feel free to contact us and let's connect.  Please keep in mind that any custom orders will take longer to process (e.g., weeks instead of days) and therefore will take some time before they are shipped and delivered to you.

Q: Do you ship internationally??

A: Right now, we ship within Canada and to the mainland United States.

Q: How quickly can I get FuzzyCakes onto my head?

A: We want nothing more than for you to get your new knitwear so you can stay warm, cozy and comfy. We usually process orders within 1-2 business days and shipping typically takes 3-7 business days (using Canada Post's expedited shipping option).  Shipping on purchases over $100 is on us - free!

Q: My order says delivered but I didn't get it.  What do I do?

A: Well, that's not good news for anyone. After, the package leaves our home it’s in the hands of a shipping carrier and largely out of our control (especially of you didn't selected a tracked shipping option), BUT, we would never leave you hanging.

First, we suggest to contact your local post office to see if they have any insight. If that doesn’t work, we find that submitting a lost packages claim through the carrier’s website. If you can’t track down the package within 5 days, contact us for next steps.


Q. Hey, I really like your knit beanies - do you have a pattern, so I can make one, too?

A: I knit most of my creations without a written pattern - I play with combinations of stitches and colour and create some hits (and sometimes some misses, which you won't see in the shop for sale).  So, I don't have any patterns to share right now, but feel free to contact us, and I would be happy to share some general stitch and size information to help you along. 

Q: I want to carry FuzzyCakes Knitwear in my boutique store! What should I do?

A: That's awesome!  Contact us and let us know what you have in mind.  We're open to collaborating with other makers, too.
